A division of REDmoney, Islamic Finance news, the world’s leading provider of Islamic finance news and analysis, is seeking for a suitable strong candidate to join its editorial team.

Responsibilities: 

• Identifying and researching news stories
• Compiling and writing daily news pieces
• Authoring breaking news stories
• Assist in the production of newsletters
• Conduct and produce audio podcast episodes
• Conduct interviews with key industry practitioners
• Authoring lengthier reports and features
• Assisting on IFN as seen fit (It’s a team effort)

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Journalism, Humanities / Liberal Arts, Mass Communications or equivalent
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic, French, Farsi is a plus
• Financial journalism or finance background is highly advantageous
• A pleasant personality and strong communication skills are a must.

• Able to identify newsworthy stories
• Inquisitive and eager to learn
• The ability to multi-task and interact with people from all levels and backgrounds
• Meticulous, organized and efficient
• Strong research skills
• Able to meet deadlines without any exception
• Experience in, or knowledge of the financial sector will be an asset
• Applicants should be a Malaysian citizen or hold relevant resident status
